BMW in Mission Impossible Rogue Nation

Have you seen the BMW in Mission Impossible Rogue Nation?

That’s right, this is one summer blockbuster that offers more than just two hours of Tom Cruise running. The film’s car chases prominently feature the 2016 BMW M3, which will be available to the public this fall.

BMW is no stranger to major film shoots, of course. According to the company’s press release for the movie, this isn’t BMW’s first go-round with America’s favorite superspy:

BMW in Mission Impossible Rogue Nation“This is the second time BMW has “accepted the mission” to lend its superior technological support to the film’s production crew, enabling it to deliver breathtaking automotive stunt scenes shot around the globe. BMW previously partnered with Paramount on the 2011 successful release of “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol”.

“The film offers fans the high-adrenaline action that only Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his Impossible Mission Force (IMF) team can deliver – including spectacular driving scenes where the new BMW M3 is put through its paces.

“Its renowned high-performance capabilities made the fifth generation M3 sports car the perfect choice to perform precision driving sequences, the likes of which have never been seen before.”

Four other BMW vehicles also appear in the film: the 2016 BMW 340i, the new BMW 7 Series, the BMW X5 xDrive 40e, and the BMW 6 Series Convertible. And it’s not just the heroes who have good taste in precision German engineering – BMW’s S 1000 RR motorcycles are used by a group of villains to chase Tom Cruise Ethan Hunt around the city of Casablanca.

So if you’ve always wondered what it would be like to send your Bimmer screaming around corners on crowded city streets to escape from bad guys while on a secret mission… go see this movie. It’s a lot less expensive (and dangerous) than actually running from bad guys.
