It’s been over 10 years since Coast Motor Werk became Huntington Beach’s Dealership Alternative for BMW and MINI drivers.
We thought it would be a good idea to spend a moment reflecting on all of the wonderful things we love about serving Huntington Beach.
So without any further ado, like the song says, here are a few of our favorite things…
6 Things We Love About Serving Huntington Beach
1) Our Customers
To borrow a phrase from NBA Most Valuable Player Kevin Durant, our customers are the real MVPs. Without them – without YOU – Coast Motor Werk would never have lasted. Today, we haven’t just survived, we’ve thrived, expanding from one location to four and making new customers for life every day.
The Coast Motor Werk team would like to thank our devoted clients in Huntington Beach and throughout Orange County for making these last 10 years more amazing than we would have thought possible.
2) Car Culture
Huntington Beach has been into cars for a long time, even before Coast Motor Werk showed up. The city’s official car is a “woody,” usually with a surfboard on top, and local car shows provide lots of great events for gearheads of all kinds.
The most well-known weekly gathering is the Donut Derelicts classic car club, which meets at Adams Avenue Donuts on Saturday mornings.
Annual events include the hot rodding Cruise-in Car Show at Pier Plaza in April, and the classic and classy Concours d’Elegance in June at Huntington Central Park.
Of course, if your taste leans toward German engineering (and cuisine) like ours does, Coast Motor Werk’s 10th annual Beer, Brats & BMWs gathering will take place as usual this summer, after our 10 Year Celebration Tour.
3) Local Businesses
No discussion of Beer, Brats & BMWs would be complete without mentioning all of the fantastic local businesses that make the event possible – especially since many of them also call Huntington Beach home.
Past sponsors from Huntington Beach include Old World Deli, Zimzala Restaurant at the Shorebreak Hotel, BTs Southern BBQ, Red Table, Madrid Skateboards, Huntington Beach Bicycles, House of Brews and many, many more.
4) Dog-Friendly
Regular visitors to the Huntington Beach Coast Motor Werk know how much we love our dogs. (Click here for the im-paw-tent details on our canine support team.)
Fortunately for us, the city is just as much in love with furry friends as we are. From Huntington Dog Beach to places like the Sit Stay Cafe, Surf City knows how important it is to make room for man’s best friend.
5) Winter? What Winter?
BMW and MINI drivers from Germany to Green Bay have to spend at least a few months out of the year preparing and protecting their ultimate driving machines from the threats of winter.
Huntington Beach? Not so much.
Sure, a trip up to Mammoth or Big Bear might require a little extra work to prepare for the weather conditions, but our consistently comfortable climate makes it easier to take care of our cars – for you, the owner, and for us, the mechanic.
(Of course, there are still things that you can do to make sure your car runs properly all year long. Click here for some tips.)
And last but not least, any list of things we love about serving Huntington Beach wouldn’t be complete without mentioning…
6) The Beach!
‘Nuff said.
